Byron Bay FC Sixes Regulations and Rules (Amended 12/09/2024)
Ball Size 5 (seniors) or 4 (juniors).
Attire
Each team players are to wear matching shirts with individual numbers.
All players must wear shin pads. Players cannot wear jewelry of any description.
Duration
Each game is 2 x 25 minute halves.
Half-time is 2 minutes.
Teams
A maximum number of 6 players from each team on the field at one time including the keeper.

There is no offside rule.
The keeper cannot kick the ball out of his hands.
The keeper cannot throw the ball beyond halfway without it first touching the ground and/or a player.
If the ball starts on the ground, the keeper can kick the ball beyond halfway without it first touching the ground and/or a player.
The keeper can play as a sweeper beyond the box.
Sliding tackles are not allowed and will result in a card, colour depending on
severity.
When a goal is scored, play is restarted from the centre.
Substitutes are, roll on roll off, only when the ball goes out, after notifying the
referee.
All free kicks are indirect and 1 step. Opposition players must be 5m from the
ball. If the 5m separation is not satisfied promptly the Ref will move the free
kick forward 5m.
When the ball goes out of play, restart with a throw in. All throw ins are indirect.
The referee has sole authority of the match, no protests will be accepted.
All Yellow cards will result in a 5 minutes sin bin. Players to stand behind their
goal line. 2 Yellow cards in the same match equal a Red.
At the referees discretion a Red card can be issued resulting in a direct send-
off and a minimum 1 match suspension, and depending on severity, a possible banning from the rest of the tournament.
Swearing at the referee is an automatic sending off offence & an automatic 4
match suspension.
